About this policy
This policy explains how UK Integrated Survey Group (“UKISG”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, and how you can control them. This website is operated on behalf of the group by Drone Site Surveys Ltd (company number 12318909). Please read this policy alongside our privacy policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device when you visit. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in the same way. They let a website remember things about your visit, such as your preferences, and help website owners understand how their site is used.
How we use cookies
We use two types:
- Strictly necessary: needed for the website to work and to remember your cookie choices. These do not need your consent.
- Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages are visited and how people find us, so we can improve it. We only use these if you accept them.
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not use cookies to identify you personally.
Strictly necessary
| Name | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| ukisg_cookie_consent | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. Stored in your browser’s local storage. | 12 months |
Our website hosting may also use technical measures to keep the website secure and protect it from misuse.
Analytics cookies
We may use Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to collect information about how visitors use this website. Google Analytics is only loaded, and these cookies are only set, if you choose “Accept analytics” on our cookie banner.
| Name | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes unique visitors. | 2 years |
| _ga_<container-id> | Keeps track of your current visit. | 2 years |
Google Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months. The information collected is grouped together and does not identify you directly. Google may process it outside the UK, including in the United States, with appropriate safeguards in place. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Managing your choices
When analytics are in use, you will see a banner on your first visit asking whether you accept analytics cookies. Rejecting them is as easy as accepting them, and the website works the same either way.
You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. If you reject analytics after accepting them, we remove the analytics cookies from your browser. We ask again after 12 months.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Information Commissioner’s Office explains how cookies work and how to manage them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example if we change the tools we use. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
